The holidays are officially underway at the Walt Disney World Resort and that means the annual gingerbread display is up at the Contemporary! This year's display is the same 'Frozen' display that was used last year, completed with Mary Blair-inspired figures of Anna, Elsa, Sven, Kristoff, and Olaf. The display resembles a Norwegian Stave Church (you can see another version of a Stave Church at the Norway pavilion in Epcot).
Free dining OR a room-only discount is available for select travel dates this fall at the Walt Disney World Resort. Guests at the Contemporary can save up to 20 percent on rooms with the room-only discount. Free dining is not available for guest at Bay Lake Tower. Read on to find out more.
If you're making plans to visit Disney's Contemporary Resort this summer, we have good news! Disney recently announced room discounts for stays on most nights from June 12 through August 25! Guests booking a room at the Contemporary during these dates can save 30 percent off the room rates.
One of our favorite spots to visit is the Outer Rim at Disney's Contemporary Resort. This laid-back bar is unique in that it really isn't "closed off" to the traffic headed into Chef Mickey's or the Contempo Cafe, but it's still a nice spot to relax and enjoy a great cocktail. The bar menu at the Outer Rim is quite fabulous and features 20 specialty cocktails.

But now guests waiting for the buses at Disney's Contemporary Resort can take the guessing out of the equation thanks to the digital Disney Transport signs that are now at the bus stops!
