Today we remember the Food & Fun Center, which was originally called the Fiesta Fun Center, at the Contemporary Resort. This area was housed where The Wave restaurant is located now.
Over at Walt Dated World, they report that in the very beginning, the space was used as exhibit space for conventions. Then later on, it became a combination video arcade and 24/7 snack bar. There was even a theater for watching Disney films!
The Food & Fun Center would cease to be when The Wave opened in June 2008. Counter service meals became available at the Contempo Cafe, and the arcade moved to the Grand Canyon Concourse.
