The Pools of Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Main Resort Pool

Summer is just around the corner and we all know that summer in Central Florida can be downright brutal with the heat and humidity! One of our favorite ways to keep cool is spending the afternoon (or all day if you want) at the pools at the Contemporary.

There are two pools at the Contemporary and one pool at Bay Lake Tower for guests at the DVC property.

The Contemporary pools are “understated”when it comes to themeing, but that fits right in with the minimal theme of the resort. You won’t find any oversized icons or giant clown slides here.

The main Contemporary pool has a 17-foot curving slide and sits next to the shores of Bay Lake. Folks in the Garden Wing of the resort have a very quick trip to this pool which is always a plus.

The “bullseye” pool is a smaller pool next to the large main pool and it is flanked by cabanas and a beautiful view of Bay Lake.

The cabanas at the bullseye pool are a nice splurge if you’re looking for a luxurious way to spend your pool day. The cabanas can be reserved by resort guests for morning (10 a.m. until 2 p.m.), afternoon (3-7 p.m.), or all day (10 a.m. until 7 p.m.) sessions. The prices are $100 for half day and $185 for the whole day. Cabanas include complementary drinks (check your refrigerator!) and fruit basket, ample padded seating, and a flat-screen TV. Not a bad way to spend the day.

The Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower is open to DVC Members and their guests staying at Bay Lake Tower only. There is no pool hopping allowed to Bay Cove.
