Contemporary Resort lunch options

A Quiet Lunch at the Wave

Some of Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s restaurants serve breakfast and dinner, or dinner only. But a few do serve lunch, and they’re a great option during a resort day — or as a respite from the crowds of the Magic Kingdom! Here’s what’s available for midday noshing.

Sand Bar

The Sand Bar, located next to the pool, is the place to eat if you’re spending an afternoon by the pool and want to maximize your sun and swim time! With a small menu, it’s still a crowd-pleaser, with salads, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos and more. A kid’s pick is also available.

And if you want an alcoholic drink to help you cool off on a hot afternoon, then try a yummy Orange Dream or Pina Colava. Click here for more info about the Sand Bar.

Contempo Café

The Contempo Café is a newer addition to the Contemporary, offering quick-serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s located on the fourth floor next to Chef Mickey’s. Contempo Café utilizes electronic menu boards and touchscreen ordering. Flatbreads, salads, and sandwiches are on the menu here, which many liken to favorite Epcot counter service Sunshine Seasons.

The Contempo Café is a great lunch choice for those wanting a counter-service spot that’s more than your average hamburger or hot dog! Click here for more info about Contempo Café.

The Wave

The Wave is another newer addition to the Contemporary, offering casual table-service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The focus here is fresh and healthy, but still delicious! Think fresh sustainable fish, inventive salads, and unique sandwiches. Plus, their desserts are all served as trios, and have proved very popular.

The Wave is a great lunch choice for those wanting a nice break from their day. It’s also a great choice for anyone wanting something a little different than the table-service lunch offerings at the Magic Kingdom. Click here for more info about The Wave.
