Contemporary Resort buses and boat transportation

Contemporary Resort bus stop.

If you’re looking for a lot of transportation options, then Disney World’s Contemporary Resort is the place to be. Aside from monorail access to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, the Grand Floridian and Polynesian resorts, there’s also bus transport to all of Walt Disney World, and boat transport to Wilderness Lodge.

Boat transport: The blue launch transport boat departs from the Contemporary Resort Marina and travels to the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. Boats leave every 20-30 minutes on average. Note that no boats travel to the Magic Kingdom.

Bus transport: Buses run from the Contemporary Resort bus stop to Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well as Downtown Disney, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Buses leave every 20 minutes or so. Bus stops are located in front of the Contemporary, to the right (facing Seven Seas Lagoon).

If you’re traveling to the Magic Kingdom, simply take the Monorail or the walking path. And if you’re traveling to a resort other than Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian or Polynesian, take a bus to a theme park hub close to that resort, then get on another bus to that resort.
